Former St. Joseph High School star Paul Turner is doing well and advancing his game at Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Florida.
Turner, a 6'5 shooting guard, garnered multiple high-major offers early in his high school career ahead of opting to move on to prep school.
Victory Rock head coach and founder Loren Jackson notes that Turner is averaging 18 points per game early in the season with an emphasis on driving the ball to the basket as opposed to settling for jump shots.
Turner is now up to 205 pounds and Jackson also has him looking to take advantage of his size by also creating opportunities to post up smaller guards inside.
Jackson also notes that Turner will graduate in the 2014 class with the plan to return next season as a postgraduate and enter college with the 2015 class. Turner is poised to again see his recruiting heat up again.
Victory Rock played in the Midwest Prep Showcase this past weekend in Merrillville, Indiana.
Victory Rock competes in the Atlantic Coast Prep Conference which features a total of 10 teams.
