North Chicago forward Kurt Hall is one of the most physically imposing players in the state. He was among the top uncommitted prospects left in Illinois. Now he is off the board as Hall has committed to Toledo. He told us why they were his choice.
"Because that's the school I feel that fits me."
Toledo has been the main school recruiting him for a while and wanted to see him succeed not only on the court, but in the classroom as well.
"They have worked with me to make sure I qualify not just for their school, but for college period."
Hall's combination strength, quickness, and athleticism make him a dynamic player on both ends of the floor. He is a powerful player on the interior finishing with strength and has shown the ability to attack out of the high post. Hall is a great rebounder for his size and a plus defender. Overall he plays with a tremendous motor.
Toledo has been extremely active recruiting the state of Illinois especially in this 2014 class. Assistant coaches Jason Kemp and Jason Kalsow have been consistent presences throughout the state and it paid off with a big commitment on Wednesday.
