St. Joseph’s power forward Nick Rakocevic has had a monster sophomore campaign. The skilled four man is putting up double doubles on a nightly basis. Rakocevic ranks as one of the top prospects in the state’s 2016 class regardless of position.
Sunday he took a visit to Wisconsin and broke down how the trip went.
“I got to see them play against Michigan State. Both teams played very well. I got to see their facilities and talk with a few coaches including Coach Bo Ryan.”
Wisconsin has had success with post players with similar skill sets to the St. Joe’s sophomore. The Badgers coaching staff made sure he knew that.
“Coaches said I fit their style of play and it would be a good fit for me. They will be watching me.”
What impresses him about the Big 10 program?
“I love how their big men play and they are a non-selfish team. That’s very important to me. The coaching staff is really into it and cares a lot about their players.”
Expect Rakocevic to make a name for himself on the national scene this spring with the Mac Irvin Fire in the Nike EYBL.
